Time:2018-03-16| Author:Jieyue Logistics Group

Beginning on April 1, 2018, Indian Customs requires that all bills of lading and manifests for goods exported to Indian ports (including Indian inland ports) must display the following information:

From April 1, 2018 (referring to the date of issuance of the bill of lading), all bills of lading carried out on INNSA (local & ICD):

The following information must be shown in the description field of the bill of lading:

(If the description space is not enough, you can use attachments. If CNEE is to order or bank, you must provide the following information of NTFY party.)

a) Import and Export code (IEC) of Importer

b) GST identifications no. (GST No) of importer

c) Official email ID of Importer (to be used for correspondence by shipping lines and customs)

【Precautions】

The current scope of implementation is limited to the loading of all ships at the NSA (including NSA to ICD)

GST no. is 15 yards and IEC no. is 10 yards.

- GST must have a company registered with the government

- IEC is a company with import and export licenses

- Both are very common and Indian customers know for sure

If the bill of lading has c/ & n/ as the freight forwarding, there is no IE CODE, but the HOUSE BL of the freight forwarder still needs to indicate abc three points.
